WDW – Minnie Van Service

The roads around Walt Disney World are a lot more fun with the return of “Minnie Van” service.  Get where you need to be in Walt Disney World Resort with this whimsical personal ride service, available via the Lyft app.  If you need a ride to a restaurant at another Disney Resort hotel, or a relaxing way to get back to your room after a busy day at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks or the Disney Springs area, Minnie Van service is a great way to get around Walt Disney World Resort quickly and in comfort—all while in a Disney-owned, Disney-operated vehicle, driven by a Cast Member.  Minnie Van™ service is not included in your vacation package, but it is easy to request—just use your smartphone to order and pay for a ride through the Lyft app.

Your personal Minnie Van driver will pick you up at your location on Walt Disney World Resort property and take you any other guest area.  At the resorts, it will pick you up and drop you off in the parking area nearest your room, or in the front of the resort.  At the parks, the location is near the taxi stands.  The exception is at Magic Kingdom where pickup and drop off is at the bus depot location.  This especially helpful at the end of a long day at the parks. 

Pricing varies based on distance traveled from pickup location to requested destination within Walt Disney World Resort.  Standard Lyft cancellation and no-show fees may apply.

Your Minnie Van is a mid-size SUV that will comfortably seat up up to 6 passengers.  It also includes 2 complimentary child seats, if needed.  The use of child seats is required for children under 6 years of age.  These seats easily convert between a car seat and a booster seat.  Minnie Vans follow all Florida state laws regarding child restraint systems.  The seats can be both forward and rear facing. 

In addition to your private ride in a comfortable vehicle, you may find your driver playing your favorite Disney songs while you are enjoying your journey.  Minnie Vans have quite a few channels exclusively for Disney music, so ask if you have a favorite!

Each Minnie Van driver is a Disney cast member.  They are full of great and useful information about the parks and resorts.  You may even learn a little trivia.  You can leave a gratuity on the Lyft app which will be paid to the driver or you can tip with cash. 

Minnie Van service is requested using the Lyft app.  It is important that you download the app in advance.  Your app will work as normal including pricing, estimated wait time, driver name and car number, and the ability to add a gratuity.  Cars are usually only minutes away.  Wait times can be longer during peak travel times.   

To request a ride through the Lyft app:

• Open the Lyft app with Walt Disney World Resort.
• Confirm your pickup location and tap “Select Minnie Van”. If the Minnie Van service doesn’t immediately display, scroll through vehicle type options until it appears.
• Track your vehicle on a map provided by the app. You’ll also see the vehicle number to help you spot your car.

Whether you have a morning resort breakfast, a late night at the park with the little ones, or just trying to avoid the buses, consider using a Minnie Van for a more personalized means of transportation. 

To request a ride in an accessible Minnie Van through the Lyft app:

• Open the Lyft app with Walt Disney World Resort.
• Confirm your pick-up location and tap “Select Accessible Minnie Van”. If accessible Minnie Van service doesn’t immediately display, scroll through vehicle type options until it appears.
• Track your vehicle on a map provided by the app. You’ll also see the vehicle number to help you spot your car.
