The Universal Orlando Resort is very well known for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Here you’ll find two popular areas that will transport you directly into the Harry Potter novel and film collection. Universal Studios is home to Diagon Alley™ and Islands of Adventure is host to the village of Hogsmeade™.
|DIAGON ALLEY –|
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ – Diagon Alley™ at Universal Studios is located toward the “back” of the park between San Francisco and World Expo, and is directly across the water from Springfield U.S.A.: Home of the Simpsons. There is only one entrance/exit from this area.
This spectaculary themed and immersive area is made up of five sections that you may recall from J.K. Rowling’s books. Visitors will first travel to London as they make their way to the dooway into the magical world. Immediately inside is the famous Diagon Alley™. Off to the left of Diagon Alley is a dark path that leads to Knockturn Alley. Gringotts Bank™ and several other shops can be found across the back of the area on Horizont Alley. Finally, Carkitt Market is situated beneath the canopy and the tracks of the Hogwarts Express. All of these areas beyond the magical barrier offer a variety of attractions, entertainment, dining, and shopping.
Olivanders – This is where young wizards and witches come in search of the most essential wizarding item: their wand. You can witness a unique interactive experience and see a wand choose a wizard. Visitors (including the wizard chosen in the interactive experience) can purchase their own unique wand, wand sets, character wand replicas, or Interactive Wand.
Hogwarts Express: King’s Cross Station – To ride the Hogwarts™ Express to Hogsmeade™, head to London in Universal Studios Florida™ and board the train at King’s Cross Station. You’ll need a Park-to-Park admission ticket to board and ride. As you travel from London into the British countryside, you never know who—or what—you might see out the window. Additional restrictions apply.
Knight Bus – Parked on the London embankment is the purple, triple-decker bus, which stranded witches and wizards flag down in emergencies. Passers-by can look in the windows and see curtains, beds, an ornate chandelier, and a talkative shrunken head.
Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees – Sway and groove to the dulcet tones of this singing sensation of the wizarding world. The swinging show features never-before-heard songs including ‘A Cauldron Full Of Hot, Strong Love’, and ‘You Charmed The Heart Right Out Of Me’.
The Tales of Beadle the Bard – Gather ’round for a stage show presented by the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts. These adept players perform a trunk show using stylized scenic pieces, props, and puppetry to retell two famous tales of Beedle the Bard, a 15th-century author of wizarding fairytales.
Dining & Beverages
Leaky Caulron – Here you’ll find delicious traditional British fare including Bangers and Mash, Fisherman’s Pie, Toad in the Hole, Ploughman’s Platter, and more; plus a Kid’s Menu offering Fish And Chips, Macaroni Cheese, and Cottage Mini Pie.
Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour – Wizards and Muggles™ of every age can indulge in scoop and soft-serve ice-creams here, with fantastic flavours like Butterbeer™, Granny Smith, Earl Grey and Lavender, Chocolate Chili, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Salted Caramel Blondie, Chocolate and Raspberry, and more; along with Pumpkin Juice™, ciders, teas, and water.
The Fountain of Fair Fortune – This establishment serves a variety of beers and other beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Non-alcoholic offerings include Butterbeer™, Frozen Butterbeer™, Pumpkin Juice™, Gillywater (bottled water), and Pumpkin Fizz.
Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment – At this small beverage kiosk you’ll find Gillywater and specialty elixirs that, when combined with water, transform before your eyes into unique, colourful, and flavourful beverages.
The Hopping Pot – Nestled within Carkitt Market is this walk-up counter where you can cool off with a variety of drinks including Butterbeer™ (regular or frozen, and ice-cream), Pumpkin Juice™, Tongue Tying Lemon Squash, Otter’s Fizzy Orange Juice, Peachtree Fizzing Tea, Fishy Green Ale, our Wizard’s Brew and Dragon Scale beers, and more.
London Taxi Hut – this small kiosk is big on flavor! Located on the London waterfront just off Grimauld Place, the London Taxi Hut serves a variety of jacket potatoes (baked potatoes), crisps (chips), bottled beverages, and even some British beer!
Quality Quiddich Supply – This is the destination for everything you need to play the most popular sport in the wizarding world, including Quidditch™ sweaters, brooms, Golden Snitches, Bludgers, Bludger bats, Quaffles, and more. You can show your team spirit with apparel, hats, pennants, and accessories themed around your favorite teams.
Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes – This colourful emporium is the novelty joke shop run by identically ingenious prankster twins Fred and George Weasley. The shop offers patrons all manner of mischief, such as magical jokes, tricks, and toys including Pygmy Puffs, U-No-Poo pills, Skiving Snackboxes, Puking Pastilles, and more.
Olivanders Wand Shop – Inside, towering walls reveal thousands of boxes stacked to the ceiling. And within each box, a wand is waiting to choose its wizard. Here you can purchase your own unique Ollivanders™ wand, or select one of many Harry Potter™ character wand replicas, sets, and Interactive Wands.
Madam Malkins Robes for all Occasions – Build your wizarding wardrobe at this cheerfully appointed shop. Here you’ll find hats, authentic Hogwarts™ uniforms, ties, scarves, sweaters, as well as jewelry.
Borgin and Burkes – This dark and dusty Knockturn Alley shop is infamous for its shady patrons, and objects with unusual and powerful properties. As you walk among the dimly lit shelves, you’ll find Death Eater™ masks, skulls, Harry Potter™ film costume replicas, apparel, accessories, jewelry, and collectibles.
Shutterbutton’s – Create pictures that actually move. You’ll be guided through 12 scenes from iconic locations in Hogsmeade™ or Diagon Alley™. After a little bit of acting, you can purchase a DVD photo album in a collectible Shutterbutton’s™ tin.
Magical Menagerie – If it croaks, creeps, leaps, slithers, or flies, it can be found in this colourful shop. Here, you can purchase a variety of plush toys including Crookshanks™, Fang, Buckbeak™, and Scabbers™. An assortment of owls is also available, including Pigwidgeon and Hedwig™.
Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment – At Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment, visitors will find a variety of wizarding wares, as well as a unique selection of apparel and accessories from your Hogwarts™ house.
Scribbulus – Find all the authentic writing supplies a witch or wizard could need including ink and inkwells, feather quills, parchment, and writing paper. You’ll also find notebooks and journals, bookmarks and backpacks, stationery sets and seals, as well as envelopes and postcards.
Gringotts Money Exchange – Ask a Gringotts™ bank goblin questions and exchange your U.S. currency for Gringotts™ bank notes that can be used for purchases within Diagon Alley™ and Hogsmeade™, and at select locations throughout Universal Orlando Resort.

Flight of the Hippogriff – Take the winding path towards Hagrid’s hut, where you may hear Fang barking as you pass. As you make your way, Hagrid gives instructions on the proper way to approach a Hippogriff, a magical creature that’s part eagle, part horse. This family-friendly roller coaster spirals and dives around the pumpkin patch before swooping past Hagrid’s hut.

Frog Choir – Hear the vocal stylings of this small choir of Hogwarts™ students, accompanied by the smooth bass rumbles of their giant croaking frogs as they perform familiar wizarding songs with an a cappella flourish.

Three Broomsticks – This rustic tavern is the place to go in Hogsmeade™ for good food, friendly conversation, and of course—a Butterbeer™. Take a seat and have your fill of tasty British fare including ‘The Great Feast’, Fish And Chips, Shepherd’s Pie, Beef Pasties, Turkey Legs, and fresh vegetables..
Hog’s Head – Located in the back of the Three Broomsticks™ in Hogsmeade™, this is the place to stop in for a Butterbeer™ or Pumpkin Juice™, along with domestic and imported beers, specialty drinks, wine, spirits, and mixed drinks.
Butterbeer™ Wagon & Cart – If you want to enjoy a cup of Butterbeer™ or Pumpkin Juice but stay on the go, stop by the Butterbeer™ Wagon right in the middle of Hogsmeade Village, or pop over the the Butterbeer™ Cart just across from the entrance to the iconic Hogwarts Castle.
Honeydukes – This legendary sweet shop is filled with colourful treats including Acid Pops, Exploding Bonbons, Cauldron Cakes, Fizzing Whizzbees, and Chocolate Frogs™ complete with wizard trading cards. While you’re here, fill up a bag of Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavour Beans™.
Dervish and Banges – Stop in this shop for all your Quidditch™ needs like t-shirts, Quaffles, Golden Snitches, and brooms including the Nimbus Two Thousand and One and the Firebolt. Also find Hogwarts™ uniforms, clothing and magical items such as Spectrespecs and more.
Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Things – Peruse treasures seized by the school’s resident caretaker, Argus Filch. You’ll find Hogwarts™ apparel, house crest banners, stationery, toys, and more.
Owl Post – Here you can buy stationery, quills, seals, ink, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ stamps, and an array of owl-related toys and gifts. You can also mail letters complete with a special Hogsmeade™ postmark.

Here you can be sorted into your Hogwarts house, learn which wand is most suitable for you, and even discover your Patronus!
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™- Hogsmeade™, located at Islands of Adventure, opens one hour prior to park opening for Universal Orlando Resort guests.
- Upon arrival at Wizarding World of Harry Potter™- Diagon Alley™, look for the red phone booth just past King’s Cross Station. For some extra fun, step into the phone booth and dial 62442 (MAGIC) for a special message.
- The Ukranian Ironbelly dragon perched atop Gringotts Bank breathes fire approximately every 8 minutes.
- Even if you don’t plan to purchase a wand, stop and watch the Wand-choosing Ceremony at Ollivanders (both locations) to experience an homage to the famous scene from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
