Quick Service dining usually sparks images of burgers and chicken nuggets. But at Walt Disney World® Resort, the menus extend far beyond your typical fast-food fare. With over 100 dining options and locations available at the Walt Disney World Resort, it can be hard to narrow down where you want to stop for a quick meal. Some of our Dream Designers are here to share their favorite quick-service options around the Resort to help make your decisions a little easier.
WENDY COLLINS – – SATU’LI CANTEEN — ANIMAL KINGDOM
After an unbelievable ride on Flight of Passage, I’m usually hungry and love to stop at Satu’li Canteen for a bite to eat and a delicious adult beverage. Their bowls give you so many options from beef to chicken to the sauces as well! And they are so good and healthy! Not your average quick service!!
RENEE BURGER – – THE POLITE PIG – – DISNEY SPRINGS
I live in BBQ country and love to try local BBQ when I travel. Polite Pig did not disappoint at all! When I try new places I always ask the staff what their favorite is, because they usually will steer you in the right direction. …and boy, Jessica the hostess, as well as my server, were right! “I’m so glad you got the Mac & Cheese! It’s my favorite!!”
I went with the brisket with coleslaw, mac & cheese and it came with a jalapeño cornbread muffin and a drink for 1 quick service credit, if It was not so early in the day I could have even gotten a adult beverage with it, but I went with the iced tea!
MICHELLE STEPHEN – – BE OUR GUEST — MAGIC KINGDOM
Imagine stepping into a mysterious castle. As you make your way through the Grand Ballroom you enter the West Wing, with thunder rumbling in the background and an enchanted rose glowing from the corner. Across the castle you see a large music box featuring your favorite Beast dancing with his one true love.
This is why Be Our Guest is my personal go to for quick service dining in the Walt Disney World Resort. The fairytale ambiance and immersive experience makes this restaurant more than just a dining option, but an experience that you can continue to take in time and time again.
With a fun french inspired menu, that includes both simple options for the picky eater, and more authentic french fare for those with a mature palate, it is a sure to please option for the whole family.
KATHRYN BRADSHAW – – GEYSER POINT BAR & GRILL – – DISNEY’S WILDERNESS LODGE
My favorite quick service restaurant at Walt Disney World truly doesn’t even seem like a traditional quick service restaurant. Geyser Point Bar & Grill, at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, is an open air restaurant overlooking Bay Lake serving classic comfort food.
You can enjoy your favorite sandwich or salad and (adult) beverage with an amazing view of the sunset. Watch the big game on one of their many TVs, or huddle around one of the patio tables for nature’s own shows; It’s so relaxing and serene you’ll almost forget you’re in the midst of all the happiness and thrills of theme parks!
LANGLEY WETZEL – CONTEMPO CAFE – DISNEY’S CONTEMPORARY RESORT
If you’re looking for a quick break from the parks, an easy (and delicious!) quick service option is the Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
From the Magic Kingdom, hop on the resort monorail and take a ride to the Contemporary. The Contempo Cafe is located just downstairs from the monorail station and features one of my favorite Walt Disney World sandwiches; the Hot Turkey Sandwich. It may sound simple, but this sandwich is piled with roasted turkey, smoked bacon, arugula, tomato, cranberry aioli and white cheddar for a unique and unforgettable flavor combination. This sandwich is large enough to share and is served with hot and crispy French fries.
Make sure to check out their seasonal dessert offerings as well!
ANDREA MAYO – – SUNSHINE SEASONS – – EPCOT
My (family’s) favorite quick service location is Sunshine Seasons which is located next to Soarin’ at The Land Pavilion.
It’s a “can’t miss” not just because they serve table service quality food, like the Salmon with Cheesy Grits and Andouille-Corn Succotash, but also because of the wide variety of choices available – including many healthy options such as their Southwest Chicken Wrap.
A trip to Epcot without a visit to Sunshine Seasons just wouldn’t be the same.
It’s easy to be confused by all these wonderful options. Your favorite Dream Designer can help you make great dining decisions for you and your family.
