Jiko – The Cooking Place

Jiko offers a blend of traditional African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine and is located at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Because the restaurant uses fresh and seasonal ingredients, the menu is subject to change seasonally.  The restaurant features two wood-burning ovens and an onstage kitchen.

Every Wednesday, the restaurant hosts the Jiko Wine Tasting.  Guests sample a trio of wines specially chosen by the Jiko sommeliers, each paired with a selection of cheeses.

Because this is a signature dining experience, guests are asked to adhere to the dress code.  Men may wear khakis, slacks, jeans, or dress shorts, and collared shirts.  Sports coats are optional.  Women may wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses, jeans, or dress shorts.  Prohibited clothing items include: tank tops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing, and shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days in advance.  Vegetarian options are available on the menu.  Gluten-free options are available upon inquiry at the location.

Prices range from $35 – $59.99 per adult.
