Today, we are beginning to get a glimpse into the 2016 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. There will be new menu offerings, the return of many famous chefs, new musical acts, new classes, and much much more. This year’s festival simply looks amazing.
The first good news – It will be held a record 62 days, beginning September 14, 2016 and running through November 14.
New dishes are being introduced in the Global Marketplace this year. I’m already craving the taste of the new beef brisket and pimento cheese sandwich at Hops & Barley, not to mention vegan Greek nachos. And are you ready for this? Hard-soda ice cream floats. I can’t wait to hear more about the menus at this year’s events. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more.
I personally enjoy getting to meet the celebrity chefs. A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Robert Irvine from Food Network, and last year I had some interaction with the cast from The Chew while they were in the cranberry bog.
This year, look for famous names such as Jamie Deen, “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro, Masaharu Morimoto, Elizabeth Faulkner, Norman Van Aken and Cat Cora.
While in World Showcase, I always take in a few sets of the Eat To The Beat concert series. This year’s lineup will include 8 new acts, including Wang Chung who will kick things off. Look for the return of Wilson Phillips and Boyz II Men as well.
