It’s no secret that the construction of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been ongoing. This is quite noticeable if you drive your car and use the park entrance that leads you behind the construction from World Drive. However, the general public will soon lose their “backstage” look at Galaxy’s Edge as a new park entrance will open soon.
For the last year or so, there’s been major highway construction at the intersection of Victory Way and Osceola Parkway near the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex entrance. This new road will be the future entrance to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Today we learned that the new entrance will begin being used on November 8, 2018.
The current entrance on Buena Vista Drive will be a bus only lane, and the World Drive entrance will be re-purposed for cast members only.
There have been other traffic pattern changes at the resort recently with the opening of the by-pass ramp at Magic Kingdom’s parking lot for resort guests, as well as the entrance to Caribbean Beach Resort being moved to Victory Way.
Here at My Mickey Vacation Travel, we like to keep our guests up to date on all these changes so that they are not wandering around the property aimlessly. It’s all part of having a Magical vacation experience.
