ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION |
Guests Using Manual Wheelchairs And ECVs
Universal Orlando’s resort shuttles are equipped with a wheelchair lift to transport Guests to/from our on site hotels, CityWalk and Volcano Bay. Wheelchairs, ECV’s and other mobility devices must fit without being forced on lifts, ramps, and in designated wheelchair spaces. Once a guest maneuvers the wheelchair/mobility device into the designated space, the mobility devices must be securely fastened by the shuttle driver using the onboard restraints. Guests may remain in securely fastened wheelchairs, and guests may remain in securely fastened strollers-as-wheelchairs as long as the stroller is rated and labeled WC-19 for transportation purposes and has appropriate attachment points. Guests in ECV’s and other mobility devices must transfer to the shuttle seating.
At most of our attractions, the queue experience is an important part of telling the story of the overall attraction experience. Although our attraction queues (with the exception of Hogwarts Express™) cannot accommodate Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs), all attraction queues are accessible to guests using wheelchairs (with the exception of Pteranodon Flyers™ in Universal Islands of Adventure—see an Attractions Attendant for assistance). There are specific boarding requirements and accommodations for those using wheelchairs at each attraction. If you’re capable of transferring to the ride vehicle seat either by yourself or with the assistance of someone in your party, you may transfer. To see a list of requirements and accommodations for all attractions, please speak with an attendant or see the Universal Orlando Resort Guide for Rider Safety and Accessibility.
In addition, there are certain attractions that are capable of allowing Guests to remain in their standard wheelchair, while other attractions have been designed to easily accommodate those transferring from their wheelchair to the ride vehicle. The see the list of attractions, please refer to the Guide for Rider Safety and Accessibility.
For your convenience, Universal Orlando Resort’s shopping and dining venues are wheelchair accessible. Also, our stage shows and parades have reserved “Accessible Viewing” areas marked with the International Symbol of Accessibility. Please see an attendant for assistance.
All Universal Orlando hotels comply with accessibility requirements to ensure specially equipped guest rooms are available. Restaurants are wheelchair accessible, and all accessible guest room entrances include room numbers in Braille.

Guests With Cognitive Disabilities
From high-speed attractions to energetic live shows to large walk-around characters, some of the entertainment offerings at Universal Orlando Resort’s theme parks may overstimulate the senses.
A Quiet Room is available at Universal Studios Florida, located at Health Services – Production Central at the front of the park. This room offers a quiet and low-stimulation space for Guests. It is equipped with rubber floor tiles, an activity wall panel, dimming lights, and two hiding tunnels.
You will not be required to reserve the room; however, you must wait until the room is vacant to use. We encourage you to adhere to a thirty (30) minute time limit to ensure that other guests are able to access the room throughout the day.
Additionally, to help each guest and their families enjoy their time with us comfortably and safely, we’ve created a guide outlining what to expect in each theme park, including attraction information, areas with limited visitation or good viewing distractions, dining information, and other helpful resources.

Guests With Prostheses
Any guests with prosthetic arms or hands will be required to ensure the limb is properly attached and be able to grasp the ride restraint on attractions where prosthetics are permitted. On attractions where prosthetic limbs must be removed, certain natural extremities are required to ride safely. For any questions, please ask an attraction attendant or visit Guest Services.
Attractions That Require Removal Of All Prosthetic Limbs – You must remove all prosthetic limbs before riding and still have the ability to (1) continuously brace with an upper natural extremity, (2) independently maintain yourself in an upright position while seated, and (3) when seated, both natural legs must extend to the edge of your seat or terminate below the knee at the following attractions:

Attractions That Require The Securing Of All Prosthetic Limbs – You should properly secure all prosthetic limbs before riding the following attractions to prevent hazards or loss due to ride forces:

White Canes
Many attractions can accommodate you if you have a white cane, or they can provide a storage compartment in the ride vehicle to place your cane. Your cane may need to be collapsed on some attractions. On attractions where your cane may be lost due to ride forces and presents a potential hazard to other guests, an Attractions Attendant will hold your cane for you after you’re seated. It will be available as soon as the attraction vehicle is stopped in the unload area. The following attractions will hold your white cane until you’re done with the experience:

Guests With Service Animals
Trained Service Animals are welcome to Universal Orlando Resort. Animals who do not meet the definition of a Service Animal will not be permitted in the park. Service Animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the Service Animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. To help you make an informed decision about your service animal’s safety, each attraction has specific entry and boarding requirements, as well as portable kennels at certain attractions. Relief areas for your service animal are also available at select locations throughout the parks. For more information, please speak with an attendant or see the Universal Orlando Resort Guide for Rider Safety and Accessibility.
