The time has come to start making your dining reservations for your big Walt Disney World family vacation. You have heard all about the fantastic character experiences across the Resort. But what else is out there? From juicy fried chicken to hearty steaks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I know what you’re thinking…”I have already tried booking Homecomin’ for dinner.” or “Yachtsman isn’t open yet.” It’s true that there are several popular locations that book up quickly or are have not reopened just yet. Luckily, Walt Disney World has over 100 Table Service dining options for your family to enjoy. Some of these places have done a great job of flying under the radar and housing some of the best bites! Here are just 5 of our favorite underrated dining experiences across the Resort.
Splitsville
Dad has agreed to the matching shirts, the ear hats, and waking up early to be at the park opening each day. All he has asked for in return is to find somewhere with amazing sushi. While many guests would immediately think of Morimoto Asia, the hidden sushi gem is actually at Splitsville. I know what you’re thinking, “Sushi? At a bowling alley?!” YES! Splitsville in Disney Springs has an amazing selection of sushi, salads, and other big-bite favorites on its menu. While you do not have to bowl to dine, adding fun to your meal is a great way to spend a non-park day!
STK
Nothing beats the first bite into a nice juicy steak. Many guests will think about places like Le Cellier or the Yachtsman. However, one place that many guests forget about is STK Steakhouse in Disney Springs. STK Orlando is a 2-story restaurant that embodies a hip and energetic vibe—for a unique departure from the typical American steakhouse. Head to the outdoor patio to unwind with a craft cocktail and a variety of shareable bites. Or venture indoors to dine and unwind amid a lively atmosphere.
Olivia’s Cafe
Southern comfort food is always high on the list of must-eat meals of guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Many people flock to Homecomin’ in Disney Springs for the fried chicken. At Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, dinnertime is a delicious time with Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken and slow-cooked prime rib. If you have any room left, you can’t go wrong with the Key Lime Tart or the warm Banana Bread Pudding Sundae with bananas foster topping.
Grand Floridian Cafe
One of the most seen and explored resorts at Walt Disney World is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Inside this grand resort is an often overlooked hidden gem, The Grand Floridian Cafe. Delight in views of the rose gardens and courtyard pool as you dine on inspired favorites. Open for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this table service restaurant offers moderately priced cuisine with maximum flavor.
Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante
Are you craving the flavors of Italy on your vacation? You may have heard to try places such as Mama Melrose or Tony’s Town Square, but what you may have overlooked is Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante in Disney Springs. The menu boasts a mouthwatering variety of family-friendly options, including Arancini di Carne (rice balls stuffed with meat), Melanzane Parmigiana (eggplant parmesan), handcrafted pastas, fresh fish, richly flavored aged steaks and chops—and an extravagant Sunday brunch.
Whether this is your first visit, 100th visit or anywhere in-between, there are so many delicious places to dine. Don’t feel stuck with just the big names. Some of the smaller restaurants have some of the biggest bites!
