DCL – Activities on Board the Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line offers Guests a wide range of activities and recreation on board.  There are activities for families, kids, teens, and adult exclusive fun.  Whether it’s relaxation you seek, or prefer to keep busy each day, there is something for everyone. Here is a quick look at some of the fun to be had on board the Disney Magic.

Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party!…A Bon Voyage Celebration (Deck 9) – Jumpstart your vacation to lively beats and interactive dance numbers at this deck party extravaganza.

D-Lounge (Deck 4) – Sing, dance, play games and enjoy live entertainment as a family at this high-energy entertainment venue.

Wide World Of Sports (Deck 10) – Get your game on at Wide World of Sports on the upper deck. With basketball courts, ping-pong tables, there’s no shortage of activities to keep you moving and grooving. And on the Promenade Deck, you can take in the ocean views and fresh air as you jog or walk the 400-yard track around the ship. For more leisurely pursuits, try your hand at shuffleboard.

Pirate Night*

“Pirates in the Caribbean” Deck Party – Venture to the pool deck to dance off dinner with your favorite Disney Characters and enjoy an entertaining pirate show, as well as interactive games with some special surprises!

 Fireworks – During the show, a fantastic fireworks display—an industry first—is sure to delight landlubbers and freebooters alike (weather permitting)!

Walt Disney Theatre (Decks 3)

Broadway-Caliber Productions – enjoy some of the finest entertainment in the cruise industry—from Disney original musicals to fun-filled variety acts

Movie PremEARS at the Walt Disney Theatre – In addition to live entertainment, the Walt Disney Theatre also plays host to Disney movie premieres, allowing Disney Cruise Line Guests to attend a film’s nationwide opening at the same time it debuts onshore.

Character Greetings – Meet some of Disney’s most beloved Characters aboard all Disney Cruise Line ships.

Pools & Water Recreation

Goofy’s Pool (Deck 9) –This vibrant family pool area is also the site of organized games, lively on-deck parties and poolside movies on the 24-foot-wide Funnel Vision screen.

AquaDunk (Deck 10) – Follow Dewey’s duck prints up to the ship’s highest point for a high-speed adventure like no other. Brace yourself as the floor drops out and you plummet 212 feet, rocketing over the side of the ship before plunging down 3 stories through a twisting translucent tube to an unforgettable splashdown.

AquaLab (Deck 9) – This water play area is overflowing with water-filled activities for young cruisers, and brings on the laughs and splashes with wacky geysers, pouring paint cans and leaky pipes concocted by none other than Donald Duck’s crafty nephews—Huey, Dewey and Louie.  Older kids—and kids at heart—are in for a thrilling aquatic adventure on the double-looping Twist ‘n’ Spout water slide, located within the 1,800-square-foot AquaLab recreation space.

Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab

Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab welcome Guests ages 3 years to 10 years to experience guided activities throughout both the Club and the Lab, character visits, and much more.  Children must be potty trained to visit Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab.

Pre-register your child for Disney’s Oceaneer Lab or you can register at the port, or on board your ship.  Once on board, children and parents must check in at the front desk at Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney’s Oceaneer Lab.  Children will receive a Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities band (a refundable deposit will be placed on your ship account for each band).  Children with DisneyBand+ can use their bands in lieu of the Oceaneer Club Band.

Edge (Deck 9)

Tweens ages 11 to 14 will have a blast in this inviting lounge designed to look like a hip boiler room, with flat-screen TVs, multiple gaming systems and a dance floor. Or enjoy music, arts and crafts, karaoke, scavenger hunts, selfie walls, themed nights of fun and much more.

Vibe (Deck 10)

Older kids ages 14 through 17 can kick back in style at Vibe. Housed in the iconic red Forward Funnel of the ship, this urban, loft-inspired haven is the spot to socialize, watch movies, listen to music and play virtual-reality games and more.

it’s a small world Nursery (Deck 5)

In this whimsical daycare center inspired by the beloved Disney attraction, little ones 6 months to 3 years of age can relax and play while being looked after by specially trained counselors and visited by Disney friends. (reservation required, additional cost)

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (Deck 10) – Book an appointment at this enchanted salon, where kids (ages 3 – 12) arrive as themselves and leave as a princess, knight or sea captain.  On sailings with Pirate Night, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique becomes Pirates League, transforming kids into swashbuckling pirates.  Subject to availability.  Additional charges apply.

Senses Spa & Salon (Deck 9) – Experience high-end salon services and treatments inside an elegant spa boasting an ocean view.  This pristine setting features rainforest-themed aromatherapy steam rooms, a dry sauna fashioned after a Roman bath, private luxury villas and so much more. Enjoy this impressive retreat at sea, offering a wide variety of therapeutic and beautifying personal care services for both men and women.

Fitness Center (Deck 9) – Enjoy a fully loaded workout facility sporting top of the line weight machines and cardiovascular equipment. Fitness centers aboard Disney ships are expansive, state-of-the-art exercise clubs offering stunning ocean views. Each facility features everything you need to work out during your voyage.

Quiet Cove Pool (Deck 9) – Escape to the calming confines of Quiet Cove—featuring a dedicated pool, 2 whirlpool spas, Signals pool bar and Cove Café. Separated from the bustle of family activities, this secluded, adults-exclusive area of the ship is perfect for swimming, socializing, sipping drinks and soaking up the sun.

After Hours Adult District (Deck 3) – an adults-only area aboard the Disney Magic with fun-filled venues designed to celebrate nightlife.  Located in the Adult District you will find:

Fathoms – Peer out of portholes, party and submerge into a nightclub inspired by the ocean’s mysteries.

O’Gills – Share a pint and watch all your sports teams on TV at this rollicking, shamrock-sprinkled Irish pub and sports bar.

Keys – Hit a high note at Keys, an adults-only lounge inspired by the famed piano bars of Hollywood’s heyday.

Soul Cat Lounge – Live music jives with artisanal drinks at this spirited lounge that celebrates the soul of jazz.
