Disney has announced the addition of three New Year’s Eve celebrations to be held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort this year. Typically, the parks are filled to capacity for the fireworks spectacular, especially Magic Kingdom Park. So these new parties are a great way to ring in the New Year without the large crowds.
Pixar Party: A New Year’s Eve Celebration is a family-friendly way to celebrate the New Years with a Disney/Pixar inspired dinner. You’ll be welcomed into the Ballroom of the Americas that features sections based on various Pixar movies. You’ll get to hang out in Andy’s room from Toy Story as well as areas like Metroville from The Incredibles. Backdrops, decorations, and props will immerse the guests into these movie experiences. Pixar face painting, a balloon artist, and a DJ spinning tunes from Radio Disney will keep the kids entertained throughout the evening. At midnight, head outside for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks.
Down in New Orleans: A Disney New Year’s Eve Dining Experience will be featured in the Grand Ballroom. The ballroom will be decorated in a French Quarter theme as you celebrate the sounds, tastes, and experience inspired from Disney’s animated feature The Princess and the Frog. Live music from a New Orleans jazz band as well as featured vocalist will provide entertainment. Dinner will include oyster beignets, smoked salmon mousse cones with caviar, Kobe beef tartare and sheep’s milk ricotta gnocchi. Signature dishes will include herb-crusted Louisiana redfish, crayfish etouffee, Balck Angus beef cooked two ways, braised short ribs and filet of beef with truffled celery root silk.
