A “virtual queue” will highlight the crowd control efforts at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
For months, there has been speculation as to how effectively the crowds will be controlled at the Walt Disney World location. The virtual queue was an effective tool at Disneyland’s version of Galaxy’s Edge, so it makes sense that it will be incorporated at Hollywood Studios as well.
So here’s how it will work……
First, make sure you have the latest version of My Disney Experience downloaded onto your device. The new version will be available Wednesday August 28, 2019.
Launch the app and look for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge – Status and Access
Select “Find Out More”
If the app says the status is Open, then go ahead and enter via the Grand Avenue entrance which is near Muppet Vision 3D.
If the app says the status is Access by Boarding Group Only, then select “Join Boarding Group”. When your group is ready, you’ll be notified via the app. Just make sure your push notifications are enabled. You can continually check your status on the app, or on various boards located throughout the park.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge will officially open to the public on Thursday August 29, 2019.
