Our Top 5 Walt Disney World Pools

While the parks are full of attractions and magic, many families find it hard to even step foot outside of their resort hotel once they arrive. One of the biggest draws and standouts are the resort pools. Many pools can be considered attractions themselves!

Whether you want to entertain your little Mouseketeers or just looking for a place to cool off, the pools at your Disney Resorts can provide all the thrills and chills you are looking for. Here are five of our favorite hotel pools at the Disney World Resort.

Uzima Springs Pool at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Go for a dip in the enchanting Uzima Springs Pool, an 11,000-square-foot tropical oasis facing Uzima Savanna. Surrounded by large canopy trees and Floridian palms, the 234,980-gallon pool features a gently sloping, zero-depth entry point similar to that of a natural beach, along with a 67-foot-long waterslide.

Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks. Take a short break from the pool to view the animals or play on the playground!  Join in for family-friendly activities each day, like themed pool parties and other cool activities. Fun offerings include themed pool games, relays, trivia, and more! See a Recreation Host for additional details.

Beach Pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Cool off in this 111,261-gallon pool overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. Breeze down the 181-foot-long waterslide amid a serene natural springs-themed setting, complete with cascading waterfalls and zero-depth entry similar to a beach. A walking bridge provides picturesque views of the pool for snapping pictures of family and friends gliding down the slide, and an onsite lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks.

Nearby, little ones will surely want to splash it up in the adjacent aquatic play area. For added luxury, cabanas are available for rent.

Luna Park Pool at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

Head to the pool and splash back to the days of classic amusement parks.

Swim in this carnival-themed pool that is home to the 200-foot-long Kiester Coaster Waterslide! Harkening back to an amusement park of the 1920s, the 184,217-gallon Luna Park Pool invites you to clown around in the water and make a splash under the spouting trunks of grinning elephant statues. Adults will enjoy the serenity of the whirlpool spa, while little ones will surely want to splash it up in the kiddie pool.

Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks.

Lava Pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Make a splash at this pool with a towering volcano, a waterfall, and a thrilling 142-foot-long waterslide. A zero-depth entry point, similar to a beach, slopes gently into the pool making for easy entry and exit. Nearby, a lounge and bar offer refreshments and snacks.

Go for an evening swim and watch Happily Ever After poolside!

Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort

Of course, we could not write about Disney pools without mentioning this popular pool!

Splash it up at this 750,000-gallon, beachside wonderland that offers 3 acres of aquatic fun. Immerse yourself in an expansive sand-bottomed pool or a lazy circular river. Explore a life-size shipwreck replica. Slide down one of the highest hotel waterslides at Walt Disney World Resort. Then, feel your cares melt away as you soak up the sun’s golden rays atop an elevated tanning deck, or escape to one of 3 whirlpool spas.

Children can wade into the main pool from the gently sloping, sandy beach and cool off in the Shipwreck Pool—complete with a miniature waterslide! Boasting an impressive complex of pools ranging from swirling to placid or open to secluded, every family member can find a place to cool off and have some fun at Stormalong Bay.
