Disney Genie+ is available at the Disneyland Resort. This digital service is designed to create your best Disney day. Guests who purchase Disney Genie+ will have the opportunity to book a return time at select attractions throughout the two theme parks that allows them to skip the standby line and go through an attraction’s Lightning Lane. The service is available for purchase as an add-on with new ticket or vacation packages before your visit, or as a single-day purchase for existing ticket holders through the Disneyland app on the day of your park visit after park entry.
The advance purchase cost is $25 per day per ticket. Same day in-app purchase price will fluctuate day by day based on demand. But how, exactly, do you buy it? To add Disney Genie+ through your Disneyland app upon entering the theme park on the day of your visit, follow these steps:
1. Open the Disneyland app and tap the menu button (three lines) on the bottom right part of the screen.
2. Tap, “My Genie Day” on the next screen.
3. On the “My Day” tab of the next screen tap the purple & pink bar labeled “Get Disney Genie+ for Today.”
4. Tap, “Get Disney Genie+ Service.
5. Scroll down to see the included services and price and tap, “Continue.”
6. Select everyone in your party for whom you wish to purchase Genie+, review the details of your purchase, and tap, “Continue.”
7. In the next step you’ll confirm your contact and payment information, then tap “Purchase with your credit card.”
8. Your Order Confirmation will show your confirmation number, date that the service is active, and all those in your party that are included on the purchase.
